REGULAR PROGRAM
GRADES 7-10
Two full days: Monday and Wednesday
Thursday afternoon Performing Arts 1x/month
September - May
The Regular Program for Grades 7-10 focuses on an in-depth approach to learning.
Students will continue studying the great literary works of Western Civilization,
the contribution of ancient civilizations to history, and the history of Christendom and the Church.
They will have a chance to study areas of the Faith in greater depth and attend regular conferences and retreats.
Students will also participate in Art History, Sacred Art, Sacred Music, and the Performing Arts,
allowing them to have the tools necessary to sing polyphony, motets, and Gregorian chant,
to perform on stage, and to learn about the great works of art throughout the centuries.
Lastly, students will be taught research skills, how to write a variety of essays, note-taking techniques,
study, and test-taking skills. Classes will be both lecture and Socratic method style.

Regular retreats and conferences throughout the year

Vocal Training to sing 4-part harmony Motets at Mass (Polyphony in the Schola)

Performing in the annual play/recital

Study great works of literature by authors such as Shakespeare, Dante, Tolkien, and Chesterton

In-depth study of Scripture and typology; Introduction to theology; Study of the Church Fathers

Academic skills such as research skills, writing quizzes and tests and writing essays

Learn the rules and techniques of organized sports

Daily prayer, rosary and learning the Divine Office
