The Academy of Our Lady, run by The Paideia Centre, is a program for homeschool families

that are interested in a blended homeschooling and classroom style schooling for their children. 

Students take classes with us two to four days a week and are given some school work

to do on days they are at home.  

 

This relatively new model of education is growing in both the US and in Canada. 

So far, we are the only program of its kind that we know of in Saskatchewan.

 

Some of our classes are difficult to teach at home

(Sacred Music, Theology and Iconography, for example),

while other classes are offered in order to help lessen

the teaching load of homeschooling parents

(English literature and writing, History, Geography, Latin, etc.). 

In this way, we work alongside parents in order to provide

excellent education for their children.

 

More importantly, the program in its fullness will develop, integrate,

form and equip students not only to navigate the currents of our culture,

but also to become contributors of the true, good, and beautiful in our community.

 

Our program is based on a Catholic and Classical education model,

and all of our courses incorporate truth, goodness, and beauty. 

One need not be a Catholic to join us,

but all students are expected to take part in religious activities and classes,

no matter their religious background.
